Cenários Futuros
The concept of the post-natural refers to a nature that has already been extensively shaped by human intervention–conception, where the boundaries between the natural and the artificial are fluid and dynamic. By expanding the understanding of the landscape as a manufactured space, shaped by ecological, cultural, economic, ethical, and aesthetic forces, we foster a dialogue on Domination and (Re)production in the contemporary context. This project acts as a meeting point between artistic practices and ecologies, reimagining the relationship between communities and landscape, between the human and the more-than-human, between the natural and the post-natural, while encouraging the creation of more harmonious collective alternative futures.
Cenários Futuros
Multimedia installation
We live in an era in which human action has become a geological force. In this context, the natural no longer stands in opposition to the artificial but reveals itself as a cultural and historical construction of reality. Cenários Futuros proposes a symbolic reflection on the multiple expressions of nature in the Anthropocene.
Through a process of listening to the landscape and to the human and more-than-human bodies that inhabit or constitute it, an archive was created that seeks to reveal how even seemingly wild places are the stage for profound transformations. These changes are driven by persistent forces such as climate change, hyper-consumption, pollution, the introduction of exotic species, capitalism, among others.
Cenários Futuros, a multimedia installation, invites listening and observation, proposing a journey where nature, culture, and society are no longer separate categories but intertwine in a single gesture shaped between the real and the fictional. A world in constant transformation, where the paradoxes and collective tensions of the present become visible.
