Open Call: Narratives of Migrant Women in the City of Porto
PELE is looking for stories of migrant women in Porto to inhabit a publication inspired by them.
In this edition, we present narratives led by migrant women who live in the city of Porto — women who promote care, resilience, affirmation, and the celebration of cultural diversity in its many expressions. Through the voices of migrant women, we aim to create a record that gives visibility to the practices of care and resistance present in the city’s daily life. This edition seeks to value knowledge, affirm identities, and celebrate diversity, weaving networks of closeness, affection, and solidarity between communities.
From the shared stories, a publication (format to be announced) will be created, illustrated by visual artist Arisca, and launched by the end of the year.
This initiative is part of the Municipal and Intercultural Mediators Project, promoted by Porto City Council.
