Exhibition Cenários Futuros at Adega

News - 29 September 2025

Installed at Adega (Tv. Granja 176, 4300-251 Porto) until October 4, the multimedia installation Future Scenarios is the result of a research and co-creation process carried out in a rural context by Carina Moutinho, Carolina Ribeiro, Fernando Almeida, Paulo César Silva, Rodrigo Malvar, and Tito Mouraz.
The exhibition can be visited during the week by appointment (phone: +351 915 920 764), or between 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on October 3 and 4.

We live in an era in which human action has become a geological force. In this context, the natural no longer stands in opposition to the artificial, but reveals itself as a cultural and historical construction of reality. Future Scenarios proposes a symbolic reflection on the multiple expressions of nature in the Anthropocene.

Through a process of listening to the landscape and to the human and more-than-human bodies that inhabit or constitute it, an archive has been created that seeks to reveal how even seemingly wild places are the stage for profound changes. These shifts are driven by persistent forces such as climate change, hyper-consumption, pollution, the introduction of exotic species, capitalism, among others.

Future Scenarios, a multimedia installation, invites listening and observation, proposing a journey where nature, culture, and society cease to be separate categories and instead intertwine in a gesture shaped between the real and the fictional. A world in continuous transformation, where the paradoxes and collective tensions of the present become visible.

Future Scenarios is a PELE creation, co-financed by the Directorate-General for the Arts, premiering at Encontrarte Amares 2025.
